What Is a Workload Model?

A workload model answers the question: what must my load test actually simulate?

Without it, you are just guessing. Maybe you run 100 users because that is a round number. Maybe you test the homepage because it is easy to script. But, ultimately, that tells you nothing about whether your system can handle real production load during a sale, a marketing campaign, or a typical Monday morning peak.
